I loved this random message on the sidewalk. I know I am guilty of this--head down texting and emailing on the go. Sometimes I feel like I miss the actual moments when I am so busy documenting them all. This was a good reminder to stop and enjoy the day. You know, after I snapped this photo and instagrammed it...
In the afternoon we took a short walk on The Highline while we were out and about in Chelsea.
And we finally got a little bit of sun. The weather forecast for the weekend was sunny and warm, but I must be missing something because all I see are cloudy gray skies, except for this one little break we had. I snapped this shot for 52 Photos Project--the theme this week was "let the sun shine in" but the weather was really not cooperating much until this moment :)
All in all it was a pretty random weekend. Hope you are enjoying yours!

Christy -- so happy to see you back at YSB this week. Love your shots and I agree about the sunshine -- it's been hit or miss this weekend.
I'm so glad Willow is doing ok. I recently had some kitty problems, and nearly lost my baby... eesh.
And yes, I agree, that sidewalk message is fantastic.
I love that sidewalk message, such a great reminder in this age of sophisticated technology!
So glad your dog got a good bill of health.
We are getting hit and miss blue skies one minute and grey the next too!
Have a great new week.
I love the graffiti. I've found some wonderful needed messages the same way. The funnel, the lighting, the DoF... all great.
I need this reminder a lot more than I'd like to admit!
The sidewalk message is so appropriate for today's world. And I always love seeing photos from other people's home towns and cities.
glad a little sunshine eventually came your way.
*love* that sidewalk message...
Even before texting it was too easy to get caught up in life and miss the moment - - - and the sky.
love love love these photos! And the stop txtng message! :) Hope you had a great weekend!
Enjoyed the post...nice shots from the city:)
Your photos in this post make me want to take a trip to NYC. Loved the tunnel shot.
They are great action photos. Yes the first one does look futuristic.
so glad willow is all better, love these shots especially that second one, what a great message!
Random but good I'd say. I love this tunnel and the over view of the streets. Funny what you said on that message (after I instragramed it! LOL) Happy day Christy and super happy for the bill of good health for Willow. All those prayer and warm thoughts from last year have taken you and her a long way.
Loving the flow & glimpses of your weekend.
Thank you for linking up :)
Gorgeous angle! I loved the last photograph so much! <3

Maybe a little random, but it looks all kind of nice, U.M.!
(I'm very happy to hear Willow is doing so much better these days, too - that's wonderful news)!
:)
We have had almost TOO much sun here in FL. Glad a little sun made it up to NY. =)
Love that message on the sidewalk. I am sometimes guilty of that as well. It is really important to just take in the moment and enjoy the day from time to time.
Sunday Love. Beautiful day for you and the family. Great news for Willow. And, I love the reminder to look up :)
I love seeing the city through your photos. One day . . . NYC is on my bucket list.
Glad to hear Willow is doing so well!

Really lovely photos! Found you on SIMC, will be coming back for more :-)
Great posts. You know it wasn't until I moved to San Francisco even before texting was a part of my life that I realized I walked looking at the ground all the time. When I looked up, I was amazed at how much I was missing.
Great photos! Glad Willow had a good vet visit!
Beautiful photographs and wonderful thoughts...I love the texting message! I just read about a town in NJ that is ticketing people for texting and walking, think of how much they are missing!
One question: can dogs ride the subway in NY? How nice that would be!
