{in the picture} may linky party!

I really enjoyed our theme this month. And although we've had quite a few rainy and dreary days here in NYC we also had a few glorious ones so I could get outside for some selfies!! And in other news I finally fixed my remote after it's been sitting on a shelf for almost a year and a half. (well, my Hubs actually figured out what was wrong with it, but the point is, it's working again, yippee!!) I took a whole bunch of shots for our theme "big world, tiny you". Here are a couple of mine...

And here are some of yours! Awesome work ladies...

My creation

I know it's the start of a holiday weekend for many of you but I hope you will take a minute to link up--or get outside if you haven't taken your photo yet! You can join in today with any self-portrait (even if it doesn't relate to this month's theme) and the linky will be open until Thursday, May 31.

As a reminder...here are our usual rules:
  • If you are new here, you can get caught up on this page. It's not too late to join!
  • There will be a link up here on the last Friday of every month, and the linky tool will remain open to your submissions until the following Thursday.
  • Please link back to the permalink for your {In The Picture} blog post or flickr image, not just the general url for your blog or flickr stream.
  • Linked entries must be to a blog post or flickr image of your recent self-portraits, not just any old photo. Your photo does not have to relate to the optional monthly theme, but it does need to be a self-portrait. Links will be moderated and removed if they do not comply with this rule, sorry :)
  • Please do link back here to my blog either through a text link, or with my button found below to help encourage others to participate and add to our group.
  • And most importantly, be the encouragement you hope to receive and help build our self-portrait community! Please try to visit a few of the links of your fellow {In The Picture} participants and leave a nice comment--it only takes a few minutes and you may be inspired by what you see :)
OK, that's it, I'll let you take it from here. I hope you were all able to get outside and capture a good shot this past month. I'll see you back here on Friday, June 1, for our next theme announcement and in the meantime, keep showing us your stuff in our flickr pool

I enjoyed this theme, too, and look forward to the next. This project is harder than I thought it would be, and yet it is healing in some ways. Learning to look at yourself through your own lens is enlightening.

I didn't quite get a "small me," but you got me out in the landscape taking self-portraits for the first time, and that was a good thing! Thanks Christy!

So glad to be a part of this group. I didn't get out much for this theme but I enjoyed it all the same. I will continue to play with the idea in future outings. Thanks.

Fantastic collection, all the photos are wonderful. This month´s theme was wonderful but I sprained my ankle and this is, moreover, one of the busiest time of the year at work, so I haven´t gone outside very much. Hope I won´t be so behind next month, I would love to make self portraits that fits the monthly suggestions. Thanks and Happy Weekend

Thank you for organizing and hosting this project, Christy! The theme was great, I wish I had had time to do it. It's so much fun to blog hop and see everyone's interpretations.

I like the processing you do with your selfies. I'd love to know how you process your selfies!

This was a fun theme although I didn't have time to pursue it thoroughly! I'll be trying it again! I love both of your shots. Lovely dance among the flowers. For some reason the second shot reminds me of Snow White; maybe it's the dress.

Great collection and fun theme for the month of May. I was too late (I guess that is what vacation does to person - makes them forget what day it is) to link up but I did upload my photo to the flickr pool and still posted on my blog and linked to your site. xoxo
