a new beginning

{self-portrait with iphone}

She left pieces of her life behind her everywhere she went.
It's easier to feel the sunlight without them, she said.
~Storypeople

I've been on a personal journey for two years. A frustrating, emotional, and unsuccessful one. I've tried so many different ways to reach my goal with only sadness and heartbreak meeting me at the end of each road.

Today I am shaking off the old and starting fresh. I'm leaving behind the pain and negative thoughts. I have a different plan, I am following a new path. I will push through each day. Hope has found me again and I won't let it go.

Wonderful picture! I've been on a similar journey these past few years. So frustrating. I've just written a draft post today about it and about a project I want to do to help me change things. Must be something special in the air or the stars this week :). Wishing you all the best on your new path!

You didn't tell us what you're shaking off and I will encourage you in shaking it off. A plethora of curve balls have been thrown our way in the last couple years. I am beginning anew also. Endeavor to persevere.

How did you pull this fabulous shot off? I have my iPhone but do not know where to begin. It is obvious from the picture that you are not holding it in your hands. I early do love this shot. It is beautiful and so unique. Kudos. genie

Beautiful photo and quote. Your previous post grabbed me as well. Self-portraiture scares me to pieces. Perhaps all this inspiration will motivate me to move beyond that.

Love and light to you on your new path.

Your selfies show more and more-of the outside, as well as what's inside.
Sounds like you've been in a hard place, a struggle. I hope that the new hope you've found will be buoyed along with energy, enough so that even when it slips, it can reignite the next day.
Hugs.

Sometimes letting go like that is the way to find what you are looking for...great attitude for a fresh beginning. I do think though that over the last while your photography has transformed and I'm loving what you are doing (like with this shot) so that something great that came out of the low, eh?

Wishing the best for you!
