It's a new month, so that means it's time for our new {In The Picture} theme. Please remember, the themes are optional so go with it only if it speaks to you. If you have a different idea feel free to head down your own creative path and share your results with us.
OK, so, our February theme is "write on!" You may be saying, huh, what does that mean?
Well, it means I'm encouraging you to use some words in your self-portrait(s) this month. Whether you literally write on yourself or you add text to the photo during post-processing, share a message, a word, or a quote that means something to you.
There are lots of fun and creative things you can do here...write a note, make a sign, draw in the sand or snow ...the sky's the limit!
One of our {In The Picture} participants often uses words and messages in her self-portraits and she was kind enough to allow me to share a couple of them with you here today. Check out Mt Hood Mama (aka Barbara)'s work below for some additional inspiration...
I look forward to seeing your messages and words throughout February in our flickr pool and I'll be back here on the blog for our monthly linky party on February 24. (I may also be back with another interview or some other selfie-related post during February too!)
If you are new here there's still plenty of time to join us! Check out what you've missed so far over here.

I always struggle with photographing words. I've seen it done in brilliant ways but when the challenge is presented to me I'm stumped. Hopefully this month will prove to be a breakthrough. Loving this!
What a great challenge. . . Thank you for the idea!
Also, I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for doing this. This has already been such a positive experience for me and I'm looking forward to see what the year brings. Thank you also for encouraging all who have joined this group. . . you are making a difference.

Love this idea! In my first photo for Feb, I was walking along at a art & chocolate fair when I looked down at just the right moment! A word was literally waiting for me, Looks like a sticker of some sort - but it said it all! I'm having a blast!
I've already made a start!
Awesome theme!

I can't believe it. I posted my selfie picture for this week before I even read this post, and I decided to have words from my journal in the picture. Its a great idea. Have not spent a lot of time going over the flickr group, but did today and really enjoyed it.
So glad to link up with you.
Cheers,
Leah
