i'm like a bird

i'm like a bird, i'll only fly away...
-nelly furtado

Another beach shot, another self-portrait, another black and white photo. I hope you aren't too sick of them yet! This photo has 2 layers of Kim Klassen's "water stained frame" texture with the edges of the texture pulled out, plus a layer of "midsummer" by Isabelle Lafrance and a layer of an unknown texture by Cat Hair Studios. I think it works...I played with it forever.

If you are feeling like you want to hear this beautiful Nelly Furtado song from back in 2000 now, you should check out this acoustic version, it's pretty good.

Yep, it works, and I love these self-portraits. How do you get them so perfectly composed at such a distance? They're great!

I don't think I'll ever get sick of these shots. Can you believe this song is 11 years old now? Feels like yesterday...

Love this photo! It has such a beautiful feel of calm, and the processing is fabulous. I really like b&w pictures with texture processing.
