textured skyline

Ahh, I've lived around here all my life and I never get sick of the NYC skyline--I just love it. I was in Queens on Saturday for a friend's baby shower--there are some fantastic views from there as you can see.

{mouse over for before and after!}

It's Texture Tuesday over at Kim Klassen's today. I used Kim's texture "autumn burst" on this photo, as well as "vintage tinted lens" from Shadowhouse Creations. I like how it gives the photo that sort of greenish vintage look. If you want to see the before and after, just mouse over the photo (thanks to Kim for posting a tutorial on how to do this on her website!)

I also snapped this photo with my iPhone...

Beautiful skyline photos! The autumn burst texture goes perfectly with your photo. I love the vintage effect. I would have so much fun with my camera in NYC!

Visiting from TT. I do love what you did with this B/W photo and texture. I also used a b/w this week and found it very difficult to find a texture application that didn't distract from the photo. I think it is MUCH easier to use textures with photos of color. Brilliant job.

I am quite sure that NYC is my favorite place on earth, and I just love coming here to see your photographs of it. I am not that far away, but do not get there nearly as often as I would like. These are wonderful photographs, and I thank you for sharing them at The Creative Exchange.

Have a great day!

When I look at your city images, it's like a little visit from here. I haven't been to NYC for nearly 10 years. I'm amazingly overdue.
Love that autumn burst texture on your cityscape, and also that iphone shot. The couple really adds to the charm.
