beach textures

I think I'll be showing you images from my weekend at the beach last week for a while. Although I am excited for the fall season, I am not quite ready to let summer go this week, so here is one more for you today...

I am linking up today with Photo Art Friday at Pixel Dust. This little birdie photo above uses one of her fabulous free textures called "renaissance music" (thanks Bonnie!)

Have a great weekend all!

Very cool how the outline of the bird is emphasized and the wetness of the sand suggested with the texture. That little bit of surf creeping in up in the corner balances it all out...and makes me want to have it wash over my toes. Not ready to let go of summer, either!

I am a fool for anything monochromatic and LOVE this - so many tones of grey to reflect the light!

Love the way you have used the texture in a way that does not detract from the original image.

Thank you for linking up with Photo Art Friday!

This is very nice. Love those beach scenes. And, this texture was a good choice.

Light, tones, scene.... everything is just perfect. And the texture adds to the image so beautifully. Love this.

I love your photo, and am drawn to anything with a beach theme. I like the black/white treatment as well.

Beautiful - it sets a wistful mood. I still have my weekend at the beach to look forward to, so I'm hoping autumn doesn't get too carried away down here yet.

I love what the texture did for this image. Beach scenes can convey such tranquility.

Just wonderful. Love the image and how the tiny bit of glistening water shows against your textured background. Thanks for sharing this lovely work of art.

Something about the small bird on the big beach -- looking for little morsels to eat. Just love this, Christy. :)

I'm in the same fall/summer limbo, for sure. I love them both!

I love this picture -- the emptiness, and the little bit of wave in the corner really adds to it, I think --

I'm also writing to let you know I'm passing on the "Versatile Blogger" award to you on my latest post -- if you don't do awards, at least know I'm honoring you and have linked to you on my blog :)
