week in the life {7}

Well, it's finally here, the last day of Week In The Life.  I have to admit I sort of ended with a fizzle instead of a bang yesterday--I didn't take many photos, but here goes.

We started the day with a much needed cleaning of our apartment.  Not so fun, but oh so necessary, and so worth it when it was all done.  Let's see, what else happened on our lazy Sunday?

The cat drove me crazy climbing all over me when I was trying to sit and watch the Yankee game.

Willow hung out in the kitchen hoping for someone to drop some food on the floor.  {at certain angles she looks really chunky...this is one of them :)

I enjoyed a cocktail and played with the macro lens on my iPhone as we made dinner for our neighbors.

Macro mint

And, the neighbors came over with their adorable little baby for the evening.  We ate and drank and talked and laughed...but I didn't take any photos.

That's all I've got for today.  I hope you all had a great weekend.  Is anyone participating in the August Break?  I am curious to hear your thoughts if you are doing it this year or if you have done it in the past.

Is that a mojito I see? Sounds like a nice relaxing evening. :)

Your cat makes me laugh...now she tends to sit and pose but my parents dogs will always come right up on the camera. Oh wait, my niece does that too.

Friends, food, and pets, what more could you ask for?!!! Your kitty shot is too funny, Missy Bighead.

That shot of your cat cracks me up. Mine does the same, mostly when I'm trying to work at the computer or read a book. I keep reminding her that I don't bother her when she's sleeping.
Willow-waiting for crumbs. Hope when dinner guests arrived they were a little sloppy. :)

I love the cat shot! I don't know how many times I've taken a closeup shot of a nosy cat's nose! Willow is a great-looking dog but looks a bit perturbed. Cocktail? Yes, thank you!

It looks like you had a fantastic weekend, and these are wonderful shots. I participated in The August Break last year, and it was truly a lot of fun. Very, very relaxed and friendly group, and you can participate as you wish, as there are really no strict rules.

Thank you so much for sharing these today at The Creative Exchange.

Have a wonderful evening!

lisa.

I am joining August Break. Anything to get me out enjoying the sun and using my camera, right? But seriously, you should give it a shot.

The photo of your cat made me smile. It is so fascinating to get glimpses into the days of other people through pictures and words. Thank you for sharing.
The last weeks I had to step back from too much blog reading. It drained something in me.
I am participating in the August Break for the second time. Love that it is so easy and without rules. It amazed me how much has changed since and how many memories of last year are suddenly surfacing. Normally I am not very good at remembering things. Last year I had no clue that I would fall in love with photography. It has been a non-pressured process and I think that is exactly the reason I enjoy it so much.
