As usual, I started my morning with a walk with Willow...
Then I headed downtown to meet a friend for a movie and a pedicure. No photos of the movie or my friend, but I do have photos of the guy on the subway platform and the pretzel man outside the theater...
And by the way you should run, not walk, to see this movie. SO good! Funny, sad, sweet all wrapped into one. Great cast. Just fab!!
And when I came home from my pedicure, I was so happy to find my first postcard from the swap over at The Kat Eye View of the World.
This lovely postcard is from Olivia--she blogs over at Life, Love and Pictures and I was already a follower of her blog. What fun to receive real live mail in this digital world we live in. Olivia has a wonderful blog, you should go and visit her if you get the chance.
OK guys, one more day of Week In The Life coming tomorrow. We are cleaning the apartment today, so that should make for some fun photos. Not. Thanks for checking in, and see you then.

Love your view of the world, so much different than mine here in Soddy Daisy, TN.

What a lovely glimpse into your urban life! How wonderful!
The sunflare is stunning, very ethereal. I really like the subway shot too, the action of the train and the stillness of rider on the platform. Wonderful.
I loved your post. I walk my dog every single morning. Watching sunsets is so beautiful. My walks are much quieter than yours, I seldom see other people.
I love your street shots. The subway guy is a fantastic one. I got my first postcard too! So exciting, can't wait for the others.
It's fun to journey along with you and see life in the big city! Guess what, my first postcard arrived and it was from you! Beautiful red tulips! Very fun :) I'm going to write a post and show all my lovelies when I have all 5 of them. Happy day to you!
Pretzels, Yum! Haven't had one in a long time.
I do want to see that movie!

I love the pic of the guy on the platform with the train behind.

sounds/looks like you had an awesome weekend (minus the cleaning part)! It's so much fun to get "good" mail. I can't wait to see Crazy Stupid Love. :)
Love, love your photos, especially the one of the gut at the metro. I heart NY!
I love following you throughout your day in the city. There is something so primal about capturing life as it happens. The dirt and grime. The sound of car tires on the macadam. I miss San Francisco...
Love the look of your day and your week:)
I have received my first postcard too...Fun!
I can't wait to see that movie! Looks good. I really like the subway photo...very cool shot.
Very nice post and your photos, too.
Regards!
Fun, fun photos! But I love the one of the guy on the platform with the train speeding by - justs give such a real sense of the hustle and bustle of city life. Someday I'll have to make a trip to New York, the city!
as usual I absolutely love your street shots, so alive and interesting.
sorry I'm late...
I just checked your other pics too... I like people watching - your people shots are really interesting. I wonder how you shoot so that people don't notice...
Happy week!
i was wanting to get in on this fun project, but i missed out....also on the postcard swap :( next time for sure! getting a glimpse into your world :)
The worst part about going on vacation is missing work like this...
one of the best parts of returning is seeing all the amazing images I've missed! Wonderfully done, (as always) U.M.! :)
I got my first postcard and it was from you! I love it. Up until four years ago I lived, worked and played in NJ and NY all my life. So when I got your postcard I felt right at home. Your blog and photography are absolutely gorgeous and stunning. I also had a cat named Willow, he was my furry son. xo
