Earlier in the year I posted the first five photos, then the second five, and then sort of fell off on sharing my selfies here on the blog. To celebrate being halfway through with this project, here is a sampling of the last 16 shots I've taken...
This first one above is also part of my "Year of Restaurant Selfies" project where I am taking a photo of myself in the restroom mirror of every restaurant/bar I go to this year. I've learned from this venture that I need to go out more :)

This one of me and Willow was a test shot when I was trying out my new tripod. This was taken right before she got sick...she is doing really well now by the way :)

This was taken on the fire escape outside my apartment. It's the closest thing we have to a backyard...NYC style!

Here, I was sending a message to myself after a rough start to the year. Note the cat in the background...I didn't know she had jumped into the background and I love her little bokeh selfie!
I'll leave you with my latest shadow portrait of me and my favorite friend--my iPhone! I took this one yesterday on the way to work when I stopped to buy my morning coffee. The processing I did really makes the street look extra dirty and gross, but it adds a certain texture to the photo, don't you think?
If you have been a regular reader here you may notice that this is a lot of face for me to be showing! It was one of my goals for the year to stop hiding behind the camera so much (although I still do that a lot too :) I hope everyone has a fabulous holiday weekend if you are here in the states--and Happy Canada Day as well!

Great shots! It's fantastic that you're stepping out from behind the camera ... I need to do more of that myself.
The fire escape is my favourite. :)
I love that you're taking photos of yourself in restroom mirrors!
I had a go at taking photos of public toilets on a holiday once- found some nice ones really- but i lost interest after a very short time. i like your idea though.
I really love the hand one, I think is really good
That is a lot of face time! Awesome!
Love the one on the bed with the writing on your hand and the sweet little kitty. Great post Christy!
You really rock these out - love the one in the stairwell as well as the one on the bed. So awesome.
They are all fabulous but I love the one of you and Willow the most.
These were all just amazing shots.
Hope you have a great weekend!
Oh, wonderful! These are all so great -- I especially love the one with you and Willow, but then the last one reminds me of a '60s cocktail ad.... and I seriously envy that grungy sidewalk....
You are very creative. I really love the one through the ladder.
Very cool self portraits! I love the one in the stairwell.
way to capturing yourself! Love the fire escape that is pretty cool.
All wonderful, U.M. (as always)!
I particularly love all the patterns in that first image and the great tones in your shadow photo... too cool! :)
Glad to hear Willow is doing better!
Love the dress in the first photo, and I really like that photo too. They are all in fact really nice to look through :-)
1. I love that 52 weeks of Bam group - so many great women there!
2. You're "only way to go from here" shot is awesome. inspirational. beautiful. (I could go on and on). Really love it.
3. "Year of restaurant selfies" is such a genius idea! and I made some noise laughing when you said you learned you need to get out more. :)
4. Really really love the "only way to go..." shot. I can't stop thinking about it.
Yep, love that bokey kitty!
omg!! you are awesome girl!!:)
Have a nice weekend
So glad Willow is doing better!
I have to admire this series...the one thing I hate is self portraits!
these are brilliant! wow you are good at this
All of these are so wonderful -- but I think I like the one with Willow the best (gee, what a surpise!).
Congrats to you for getting in front of your camera. But, you are such a pretty girl, why wouldn't you? :)
Hard to pick a favorite among these, they are all wonderful! If forced, it would be the first - retro pattern and unique composition. Love it!
Well, I've always loved your hidden-face selfies. Kinda your trademark. But it is nice to see your beautiful face!
