Trying To Savor The Good Moments

Hi everyone.  Again, thanks for all your supportive comments, it has been so helpful for me to come here when I can and read your beautiful words about Willow, dogs, cats, pets...and how important they are in our lives.

It's been a long weekend.  Willow still cannot walk without major assistance from both of us and we are trying to figure out our work schedules for the week because she cannot be left alone.  As hard as it is seeing her like this, I am still hopeful that her difficulty walking is a side effect of the anti-seizure medication she is on and that it will improve over time.

Don't get me wrong, it's not all bad...we've still had some magical moments this weekend.  Her quirky personality is back. She is sleeping, eating and drinking water again.  The weather is beautiful, and when we go out for our short walks, we've been able to sit in the park across the street and get our girl some fresh air.

I treasure these moments.  She gets a lot of attention from people walking by...with her shaved belly and legs, and that soulful face....

At some point I hope to get back to commenting on all of your blogs again. I think it would feel normal, and it would be good for me. I am just not quite there yet so I hope you will all be patient with us.  Have a good week everyone.

Enjoy time with your sweet Willow girl.

It's so hard, so terribly wrong -- but life is a circle, as they say.

Love seeing these photos of her with you and her blanky -- big hugs again from Nebraska.

I'm glad her personality is coming back and that she's eating.

If you need help, I work from home and am fairly flexible. Just shoot me an e-mail or a rav message or something and I'll swing by. (I'm also not too far away.)

Yay, very good news. Eating, drinking and going to the bathroom are huge and signs of good living. A friend of mine did have a long adjustment period with his dogs on anti-seizure meds-pretty hardcore. But if she already has her personality back that must mean she is adapting quickly! Glad you are all enjoying the present moments. Pets from me!

That is great that she is eating and drinking again, and I hope she continues to get better and stronger and will say a little prayer :-)

Hey...

Recently started reading, first time commenting.

Willow is so beautiful. I'm glad that she seems to be improving. Isn't she lucky to have good people in her life!

I hope that life gets a little less chaotic for you... and Willow is in tiptop shape before you know it.

P.S. I need more animal loving followers for my blog! Follow me? <3

Poor baby girl! I'm so sorry. Pet worries are the worst although I don't have kids so I'm not sure how that all works but our dog was hit by a car once (he survived) and it was the scariest thing not knowing what would happen to them. They're such a big part of our lives. Glad to hear she is perking up!
