Neighborhood Moments

I am not even going to go into how annoyed I am with Blogger right now!  Argh, that service disruption was more than a little bothersome.  I hope all you Blogger bloggers out there got your posts and comments back.  I am still hoping some of my comments will reappear but I am not holding my breath.

Anyway, I was just out running a few errands and I saw this girl sitting on the fence outside her apartment with her yellow shirt and her purple chucks, randomly talking to people as they walked by.  It seemed like a happy and simple moment, so I took it in.

{iPhone, PS Express}

I also liked this view of the George Washington Bridge with the triangular shapes in the facade of the bus terminal on the left.  I am thankful that I was not sitting in that Friday afternoon traffic :)

{iPhone, Hipstamatic}

Although this is a subtle example, we are looking for your photos of geometric shapes in the Mortal Muses flickr pool this week so if you have any you'd like to share please add them to the pool!

I'm totally annoyed with what we lost (and by the posts I've already read popping up in my reader again.) But I have to say it was nice to wake up and not have a full reader or inbox for one day - but I'll have a different story if it happens again tomorrow.

So nice...
I love the soft lens effect in the top shot - really draws your attention to the girl, and that bottom one is just stunning... so much mysterious low-key stuff going on there... wonderful!

You were not alone. That situation totally cramped my blogging style. I'm totally behind on commenting and that 2 day debacle made it worse. I hope your posts and comments have come back. Mine finally did. I read someone's blog where they said in the several years they've used blogger it's never happened, so I guess that's a good thing. It's not normal.

That picture is so cute. It would be a cute one to print out for her mom (I don't know if her mom would appreciate it) but I would. I'm wondering about the back story. Who put her there? Did she climb? left there as entertainment (for her)?

I'm amazing at what good photos you can get with an iphone -- but it proves that it's the artist not the tools. I love both your shots, especially the first one. (Visiting from Kat's blog.)

Visiting from Kat's blog list today. The shot of the bridge looks like something from the 1940's - such a great vintage feel.
