Shadow Cab

Happy Shadow Shot Sunday!  Geez, the things I'll do to get an interesting shadow portrait--my husband reached out and held my arm because he thought I was going to walk right into the traffic :)

I don't spend money on taxis very often--I am a subway girl at heart.  We've just ended 9 days of musing about transportation over at Mortal Muses.  My post over there today is about the underground world in New York City, I hope you'll check it out.

I am linking up at a bunch of places today, so here they are:

Is that early morning or late evening light? I'm guessing early morning.

I LOVE the shadows on the taxi.

Hmmmmm...Shadow Cab...is that the same kinda thing as Cash Cab? You've mined a golden opportunity for a sterling shot. Bravo!

Nice one! I love the NYC bright yellow taxis. Here in Brisbane we have yellow cabs. They're called yellow cabs but they're orange. I've never understood that! I'm a public transport girl too! :)

I didn't know that cabbies accepted fares from shady characters! :-)

WELCOME THE SHADOWS

Welcome the shadows surrounding your life,
Treat them as lover or husband or wife;
Welcome them in as you would one who’s dear;
Hug them, embrace them without any fear;
Honor, respect them, and give them their due,
For shadow and light are both parts of you.

Great photo! And please don't walk into traffic. That would be...messy. Also bad.

I can't justify cabs either. I haven't been in one for at least a few years... not counting gypsy cabs, the unofficial transportation system of the Bronx.

Sounds like my husband. LOL - Sometimes I wonder if he thinks I have any sense about me at all.... Love this shot! Very cool and so sorry I'm just now getting over to comment. I'm a bit behind!
