We were able to take Willow out of the ICU and bring her home last night. Our hope is that she will be able to rest much more comfortably in the familiar surroundings of our apartment. Unfortunately we still have a long road ahead, as her mobility is quite limited and she is having a hard time walking without support for her hind legs. We are hopeful that this will improve, but are not really sure what the future holds. For now, I am just going to take care of her, love her and enjoy each moment with her. As I write this post, I am cuddled up next to her while she sleeps.
Here is one more photo from our afternoon pre-surgery earlier this week. If you missed my first post about this and don't know what the heck I am talking about, go here.
Thanks again to you all, it means so much to us. Woof.

Sweet girl. I wish the best to all of you. :)
Aw! I am glad you're home!
Willow, Willow, Willow....I love this shot of your sweet girl. I know the place you're in...not easy. Amazing how much our pets do for us, mean to us, and live in our hearts.
I'm glad to know surgery was successful. Pets are incredibly resilient. I bet she will surprise you. Enjoy each moment-it is all you can do.
I am sending virtual K-9 hugs and an extra pat and scratch under the chin for Willow...and virtual hugs to you too.
I am so glad she is ok, being at home with you will be the best medicine.

I hope she gets better very soon!
Lots and lots of hugs to you and Willow. I'm glad you got to bring her home. I'll keep my fingers crossed for a good recovery. Doggies are wonderfully, amazingly resilient creatures, and I'm sure Willow is incredibly happy just to have your love and comfort, regardless of what's going on in her little body.
I just read all about Willow's ordeal. My prayers are with you and I hope she recovers very quickly. I know how much our pets mean to us!! Hugs!

Oh no! I must go back and read what I missed but wanted to send good thoughts right away!
I'm so glad to hear Willow is back home with you ... I hope she gets better and feels more herself with each and every day.
As the owner of beautiful dogs I know just how you feel when faced with difficult times at the Vet's office. It's hard to see a much-loved member of your family feeling unwell. I'll keep you and Willow in my thoughts as she recovers.
xx
Glad to hear you are all home. Take care.
Much love and good vibes to Willow and you all. I'm glad she is home and in your loving care. It's amazing how much we can love these special creatures in our life, who love us so unreservedly.
I am so glad she is back home with you, and I send you best wishes and prayer for her recovery..
She is a little sweetie!
