Every year I make a calendar full of photos for my Dad as one of his Christmas presents. It's always fun to do because it forces me to sit and look back through my photos from the past year to choose just the right ones to showcase. On a rainy day like today, it's nice to look back at some of the warmer outdoor images.
I grew up in a fishing family. Various lakes, the Atlantic Ocean and the Barnegat Bay were my playgrounds as a child. I learned to fish and crab, and even went clamming once in a while. My father and my brother are still avid fisherman, grabbing their tackle and heading for the water whenever they can make the time.
The Hub, on the other hand, is not exactly a skilled fisherman (he will not be surprised to read this, he is aware of this limitation :). But I love it when he tries to learn, like he did when we were in Texas last month.
He was so much better at casting and reeling than the last time we tried. I even got him tying on his own lures! OK, so we didn't catch any fish, but my camera did catch a few shadow shots. Happy Shadow Shot Sunday!
