Serenity Now

As much as I love living in New York City, I have to admit that sometimes it's nice to get away from all the noise.  In Texas last week I got to do just that.  On our first morning there I woke up at 6am and peeked out the window to find it still dark, with just a hint of the coming sunrise.  I got so excited at the thought of sneaking outside to take some photos that it reminded me of being a kid on Christmas morning.  Me up early, everyone else still asleep, and the anticipation of something fun about to happen. That might sound strange, but it's not often that I get to wake up to a sight like this...

It was so lovely and serene.  I wish it could have lasted a little longer than it did.

And if any of you are Seinfeld fans, I couldn't help thinking of the "Serenity Now" episode with this serene prompt from You Capture.  So here you go...

Great shots! I do miss hanging out in serene places. I need it sometimes, I think.

I totally understand about getting excited about sunrises. :)

Wow! I love how you can see all the circles of light in your photos. And what Seinfeld could help reciting the lines "Serenity NOW" during this project? He he!!
