Random Shots

I am working on a new project and this is the view out my office window in lower Manhattan for the next several months.  It's usually a pretty busy area--be it a shoot for a movie or an episode of Law & Order, the latest protest gone wild, a traffic jam, or a media frenzy trying to get the scoop on some celebrity defendant on the courthouse steps.

But the other day I looked out the window and it seemed so silent.  (This word was a photo challenge prompt on another blog for this week--her link hasn't gone up but I thought I'd post it anyway).

{iPhone, hipstamatic}

Later I saw these Jack-o-lanterns in the park.  I don't know where they came from.  There were about 8 of them all lined up on a bench and the next day they were gone.

{iPhone, plastic bullet}

I am linking up this week with Pasando.  She puts up a "phoneography" link each week so go link up if you have any camera phone shots!

Wow, that first photo is beautiful! It always amazes me what the iPhone can capture...it looks like a photo from the early 1900s...the contrast and mood, it's like Cartier-Bresson or something, you know? Great shot.

Thanks too for linking up...always a great pleasure to see you and your photos!

Wow, the courthouse does look empty. Weird.

I like the shots. The pumpkins are quite cute.

I still can't figure out how to get the photos off of my phone...isn't that sad?
