Women As Artists? Why, Yes.

I ran across this video trailer while visiting Fragments Treasures Memory, a lovely blog that I often check out to see what Robyn is up to, especially when she is out yarn-bombing her little corner of the world in Australia.

I thought the video might be interesting to some of you out there, and hopefully it will speak to you as a woman, artist, crafter, writer, photographer, chef, knitter or whatever you do to keep your hands and mind inspired and at work.  It looks like an interesting documentary---if you want more information you can go here.

Thanks Robyn for sharing this video!

And also, if anyone is still interested in participating in the huge charity yarn-bombing that I wrote about earlier this week, it's not too late.  Go check out my post for more details and let me know if you want to send me a square. (I think I will need them by 9/17 in NYC)  I've made 1 and 1/2 squares so far :)

Have a great weekend all!

I just spent a couple of hours sitting on the floor with my daughter and going through Annie Leibowitz's book "Women."

Georgia was so fascinated with all the different occupations the women held, and how many artists and writers and photographers and musicians and dancers there were. That was such a cool moment.

Of course, half an hour later we had an EPIC battle about dinner which ended in her going to bed very early...

Take the good moments as they come, right?

The only thing I have ever made from yarn was a tail extension for a horse who had their own cut off....although I confess....I secretly long to knit and crochet because then I could talk my hubby into at least 2 alpacas! *grins*
