Rainy Days Make for Nothing

I took a solo photo-walk today in the pouring rain.  I was trying to capture some photos for a guest post that I am putting together for another blog.  I am excited about it but won't share the details quite yet because I am not sure when it is actually going to happen.  However, I will share a couple of photos from today that I won't be using in that post.

For my365, I took my first Bench Monday photo and posted it on flickr.  This is also my entry for "Out & About" at Simplicity.

I also got my shot for The Sunday Creative where the prompt this week is "nothing".  Usually, when I look south down the Hudson River from this spot there is a nice view of the beautiful tall buildings downtown. Today, in the wind, rain and fog, I saw nothing.

There's a lot of nothing to see over at

And check out Tuesdays over at

And for more "out & about" go to

The bench picture is great! And I've been wanting to get my feet into a pair of Keens.

Honestly, before I saw the other comment I was going to say, "that bench shot is great". Andrea beat me to it! But really, the perspective is awesome, all the shiny wet reflections, and the red color of the umbrella repeated in your shoelaces... LOVE it! :)

Applause, Applause! Very well done. And I love the umbrella in the otherwise "gray-blue" photo. Very imaginative.

I love these two shots, your nothing shot is brilliant, it was hard this week wasn't it. Love your rain shot and I look forward to seeing your guest prompt.

Jealous! I have been waiting and WAITING for some rain (for several things I've been wanting to photograph)...and nada! Nothing but sun. I'm sure I'll be kicking myself the 6 months it's cloudy and gross during the winter months - LOL! :-) LOVE your bench shot!

I need to get out and about and take some rain pictures!! Unfortunately, I just want to remain inside with a good book instead :) I love pick for "nothing", though that pic is a whole lotta "something", in my opinion!
