iPhoneography Is Taking Over My Life

The sun finally came out today, although we are expecting the storms to start again tonight.  Here are a couple more images from my photo-walk in the rain the other day. It's kind of scary how many photos I took in just an hour and a half considering it was raining so hard and I had to keep wiping the drops off my lens.  Anyway...

This is the Little Red Lighthouse under the George Washington Bridge.  It's so cute!

This one I call, "Under GWB, Under Umbrella"...

{iPhone, Hipstamatic}

As if I wasn't spending enough time taking photos with my iPhone and posting them here on this blog and on my new mini photo-blog on Posterous, I have now found yet another cool place to share my mobile photography. Have you heard of Eye'em?  If you go there you will see a live stream of mobile photos being posted by users from all over the world!  It's so cool and inspiring I just had to set up my own account--you can check out my stream here.

And the best part?  Eye'em is currently having a mobile photography exhibit right here in NYC.  I am going to the gallery later this afternoon and can't wait to see what they have put together.  In the meantime, I am linking up again this week to Pasando's mobile photography meme.

You can check it out here:

So what do you think it is about us humans that we are so incredibly drawn to the visual? I mean I'm looking at the food but I get so much more excited about the image on the camera - when the food is right there in front of me, live and in person! - craziness I tell you. I have been inspired by your posts to take in the space around me and look for the hidden gems... love the light house

These are great! I signed up for an Eye'em account too; I've yet to post anything though. And I've seriously fallen behind on my Posterous. My iPhone shots are just so many that I feel buried under them!

Awww, the Little Red Lighthouse! And under that big, hulking mass of awesome steel. Mighty fine shots. My dream shooting expedition is traveling along the Hudson to stop at each of the seven houses up to Athens.

Thanks for the leads on the other sites. Too wonderful.
