I couldn't sleep this morning. When the sun started to rise I took Willow out for a walk and grabbed my camera.
She was reluctant to pose for me today. This was the only snapshot I could muster up.
My chunky little girl makes me smile. Find something that makes you smile today.

Great advice - this is never an easy day, focussing on the good and happy is the best way to take it back

A day we all should remember - it's hard to believe it was only 9 years ago.
Willow makes me smile too :)
It was definitely a shocking day, I remember it well as my sister lives in NY and works in the UN building and they were worried that they too were on the list of targets.
Great photos. I remember that blue sky.
Two things have made me smile today: Spending time with my grandchildren this afternoon, and your pictures!
Ironically, that day, here in the middle of nowhere Illinois, the sky was that kind of blue.
A stunned silence.
The perfect way to describe it.
I thought the same thing about the sky here this morning (just like that first picture--and I'm 3000 miles away). I feel like it is always the same stark, still, blue every September 11th as it was that day. It is unsettling, but also somehow a sign that somehow, we carry on.
Your dog has the most gorgeous face--she's so expressive; love seeing pictures of her!
I love your photos! The expression on your dog's face reminds me of my dog Jessie. I have seen that look on her many times. The "please, what do I have to do to get you to stop taking pictures? Tell me, and I will do it"
