My Favorite Shady Tree

I am excited to report that I won last week's "arts & crafts" photo challenge over at Ramblings and Photos (Ashley is hosting the In A Yellow House linky for the month of August).  It was for this photo below--you can check out my entire post with more photos from my trip to Vietnam if you want to see it here.

Ashley, thanks so much for choosing my picture of the basket weaving man from Hoi An!

OK, now on to this week's challenge..."trees".  I took this photo while lying in one of my favorite spots in Fort Tryon Park.  I love to go there and spread out a big blanket, hang out in the shade beneath this tree and empty my mind of all the clutter.  It is high above the Hudson River, which is just beyond the low stone wall that you can barely make out near the center line of this photo.

{iPhone, Hipstamatic}

Willow loves to join me on these relaxing little jaunts.  Here, she is making her PleaseGiveMeATreat face.

{iPhone, PICtone}

Head over to Ramblings and Photos to check out more trees, or better yet, consider linking up with a tree shot of your own!

And don't forget to enjoy more Tuesdays Around The World over at Communal Global.

Congratulations. The Viet shot is priceless. I have several acquiantances from Vietnam that I met while living in New Orleans. Most want to go back someday at least to retire or visit. Interesting choice of spots to visit.

Thank you for sharing again your winning photo...I'm not surprised-it's beautiful.
Your Willow is so sweet. My dog too is a wonderful "crumber" and always nearby to give the dirty dishes in the dishwasher a little "pre-rinse".
I'm also glad you pointed out communal global...what a beautiful site.
Happy day and hope you're feeling better. With all those veggies your husband is fixing, I bet you're on the mend.
